1thumb_EverestPosterPrintst Helensburgh Scout Group is about to start a Venturer unit within the Scout group and as abseiling ropes and adventure equipment is expensive I have arranged for a fundraising night called: "An evening with Tim Macartney Snape: Gaints of the Himalaya and Everest".

This fundraising event is going to be held on the 25th September 2010 at Helensburgh Workers Club Helensburgh NSW 2508 starting at 7pm and Tim is going to do a audio visual presentation and will be signing some "Everest: Sea to Summit" books and videos along with Michael Dillon, and I have arranged for Greg Mortimer, Tim and Lincoln Hall to sign copies of White Limbo so we can auction / Raffle them off to raise funds.  Dick Smith has come on board and Brigitte Muir has donated a signed art work of Everest.  I'm also in the process of arranging something from Andrew Lock and a few mountianeering company to hopefully to auction off.

We are located at Helensbrugh NSW which is located at the southern end of The Royal National Park are hoping you can post a poster or two around the traps and add a link from your website.  I have enjoyed using your site in the past and thank you in advance for reading my email and ask that you help promote it for us.  Tickets will be $10.00 and can be purchased from www.helensburghscouts.org.au or directly from This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. I believe that achievements like these guys and these types of presentations will encourage our young adventurers and help a generation see through their own eyes the splendour of our world rather than from a flat screen.
