As you are aware, I am very keen to get a Fox team re-established with GWS Region. I have been speaking with Graham Winner from Hume Region. They have a number of Fox days coming up, where those who are interested can come along to help, and start to get a bit of experience. All you will need are gloves and an A1 Form. The plan is then to run an actual training course for GWS later in the year. 16-17 October JOTA at Mermaid Pools Rockford Rd Tahmoor approx 100 youth. 23-24 October Pre Cuboree Camp at Glenfield Scout Camp. Set up from 8.00am and operating by 12.30pm through to 4.00pm on the Saturday. Then 9.30 to 3.00pm on the Sunday. Busy weekend with about 300 cubs. A good one to learn on! 5-7 November, Joey Mob Holiday at Glenfield Scout Camp. Approxomately 120 youth and adults. Another good "learning" weekend. There may be another one happening over the October Long weekend at Berrima Scout Camp. All these days are a great opportunity to get a basic understanding of what is involved with the fox, and would certainly give you a heads up for a more formal training course later in the year. Please let me know if you are interested in any of these dates, and I can orgainise to get some further details for you. Lets see if we can't get a Fox Team up and running again within the Region. ?Mark Fell
