Volunteer with Scouts Australia and AYAD (Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development) and make a real difference to those who need it most:
• The Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development (AYAD) Program sends young Australians aged 18-30 on short term volunteer assignments (3-12 months) throughout Asia, the Pacific and Africa. These assignments are part of the Australian Volunteers for International Development program, an Australian Government AusAID initiative;
• Scouts Australia is supporting a 12 month placement in Timor-Leste to assist the National Scout Organisation develop youth programme and adult training resources as well as achieve WOSM membership;
• Train and live with other Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development working in a variety of fields in Timor-Leste;
• Have support from Austraining International and Scouts Australia;
• Gain a real life experience working in a developing country;
• The AYAD Program is funded by the Australian Government’s International Development Agency, AusAID.
