Joey Fun Day - Super Joeys

Sunday 16th May was a beautiful sunny day as 156 Joey Scouts descended on Bundilla Scout Camp for a day filled with fun and activity. Over sixty leaders (including some cub, scout and activity leaders) set up eight exciting bases. There was the climbing wall, an obstacle course, a science base, billy carts, games, craft, face painting and a treasure hunt.

The Joey scouts were divided into groups of about 20 and with a couple of leaders to look after them they moved from base to base. They made new friends as the groups had Joey Scouts from different mobs and all participated in the activities with enthusiasm.  All Joey Scouts applied their law of “caring and sharing.”

A big thank you must go to the leaders for the efforts made to provide the activities. As one leader remarked the reward is in seeing these small children having fun.

A thank you also has to go to those parents who came along prepared to help the leaders run the bases. As leaders we always appreciate an extra hand.
