World Scout $ Day – 01-08-10

National Solar Panel Project

We are also asking all Scouts Australia members for their support for a submission to approach the Federal Government to request funding for the installation of solar panels on every Scout Hall in Australia. This is a follow-on from the 100 Year Water Tank project. If Scouts Australia receives funding for the project to go ahead, it will be the first National Scout Organisation in the world to have Scout Halls and campsites that are self-sufficient in both water and energy.
