Scouts Australia NSW will be offering a half-day grant writing workshops at the Baden Powell Scout Centre on Saturday September 4, 2010 for Group Leaders, Group Chairman, and other volunteers delivered by our resident grant writer, Jennifer Hamman. The workshop will focus on a range of topics including:

• Where to find appropriate grants
• Application basics
• How to develop a budget
• Letters of support, and
• Helpful dos and don’ts

Jennifer will be using examples of grant applications commonly used by Scout Groups including CDSE and Volunteer Grants to discuss the best ways to approach different types of applications. The session will be interactive with ample opportunity for you to ask the questions that are relevant to you and your experience with the grant application process.

There will be two sessions on Saturday September 4, 2010:

9:00 am – 1:00 pm – includes morning tea
2:00 pm – 6:00 pm – includes afternoon tea
