On Sunday 2/3/14 I went on a Canyoning trip with GWSR and my Scout Leader Elmer from 2nd Castle Hill Scout group and some parents from our group. We left before 7am in the morning and headed to Newnes Plateau near the Zig Zag railway near Lithgow. When we arrived we met up with a few other groups. We wore clothes that could get really dirty, it rained for a bit and then stopped but we continued on, we walked down to the bush and walked through the canyons and we had a really great time. I found really interesting, a giant rock that had fallen inside the canyon. It was huge and where it had fallen it made the water flow. There was nothing that I disliked about the day and I learnt some more skills. On the way home we stopped at a little bakery at Bilpin for some Apple Pie that were really nice, which finished off a really great day.
