Boot Camp Agoonoree (September 2013)

Friday 27 to Monday 30 September 2013

Glenfield Scout Activity Centre
off Cambridge Avenue (very close to the Moorebank Avenue turn-off)

An Agoonoree is a camp open to ALL Scouts and Guides in all Sections, especially Scouts and Guides with special needs (and including of course Leaders, Scout Fellowship members, Rovers and Venturers). Cubs and Junior Guides can attend if accompanied by a Leader; Joeys can attend if accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Tent camping is preferred and encouraged, but there is also indoor (bunk) accommodation available. Participants are encouraged to wear ‘Boot Camp’ theme costume (eg army fatigues / camo clothes), especially on Saturday.

There will be a wide range of fun, theme-based activities – crafts, music, campfire,
commando course, flying fox, games and movie night/s, scavenger hunt, theme dinner, water skirmish, and more! A ‘Chatterbox’ leader retreat will be operating.

There will be a Visitors' Day on Saturday 28 September and also an offsite activities day on Sunday 29 September to local attractions. Either or both these days may be the preferred option as one-off activities, eg for younger members, also with an option for camping just one night on Saturday between the two days.

Cost: $120 youth participants; $100 leaders/helpers – pricing for part-timers on application.

A1 Application Forms will be available on-line at the NSW Scouts website from late June, or I can send on request.
