What is it?
C14 is a trial camp exclusively for NSW Scouts who are 14 years old. This relaxed weekend is all about chilling out, making new friends from all over NSW and meeting Scouts your own age. This year will be at Glenrock campsite near Newcastle.
What will we be doing?
Activities at camp are pretty much up to you! It is your camp, so you can decide what you want to eat, what you’ll get up to and how things will run. There will some leaders around to help out with running things and to keep everyone safe, and couple of Venturers who can help with
ideas and give you a good idea about Venturing. We’re also bringing up some canoes as the lagoon is great fun for a splash about.
When is it?
We start on Saturday morning, 10th July at Glenrock campsite, but if you are travelling a long way, you might want to arrive Friday night, leaders will be on site from about 7pm. We will all leave on Sunday after lunch at 3pm – or earlier if you need to.
What is the accommodation?
You can bring a small tent if you like, or if that is too much hassle, we have “The Cottage” booked at Glenrock – a self contained building with mattresses that can be put out on the floor.
How much does it cost?
The camp fee is $50 for the weekend. This includes accommodation and meals from Saturday breakfast to Sunday lunch. Transport to and from Glenrock is at your own expense.
Who is running this activity?
The NSW State Scout Team are running this activity – it is the first trial camp for something that we hope Regions will want to do again – you can be part of shaping the activity for Scouts in the future.
